After starting off in London in 1912, jewelry and antique silver dealer S.J. Shrubsole opened a New York shop in 1936 and, in the subsequent eight decades, has acquired and sold a wide variety of ultra valuable items. At TEFAF, the firm will exhibit these Colombian emerald pendant earrings, which date back to about 1850. Each 18-karat-gold earring centers on smaller 0.4-carat emeralds at the base and a larger 2-carat cushion-shaped emerald at the bottom; 52 diamonds surround the earrings’ emeralds.
